VERIFIED THROUGH TWO-STAGE SGS COMPARATIVE TESTING

A wheel bolt is more than an aftermarket component—it is a safety-critical part directly related to driving safety.

During the initial development stage, COLORPLUS produced prototypes based on the specifications and geometry of the original BMW wheel bolts. These prototypes were submitted to SGS for shear, tensile and torque testing. Only after confirming that their test performance was comparable to that of the original BMW components did we proceed with the final design and production specifications.

Following the first trial production run, a second round of comparative SGS testing was conducted to verify shear, tensile and torque performance once again. The results confirmed that the difference in strength compared with the original BMW wheel bolts was controlled within approximately 5%, meeting our requirements for the safety and reliability of automotive components. Only then were the final mass-production specifications approved.

FORGED GRADE 5 TITANIUM

Each wheel bolt is crafted from forged Grade 5 Ti-6Al-4V titanium, a high-performance material widely used in aerospace and Formula 1 applications. It combines low weight, high strength and exceptional corrosion resistance, making it well suited to prolonged exposure to sunlight, rain, temperature changes and demanding driving conditions.

The forging process further enhances the density and structural stability of the material, allowing the bolt to achieve meaningful weight reduction while maintaining the dependable strength required of an automotive fastening component.

FROM SAFETY VERIFICATION TO METAL CRAFTSMANSHIP

The bolt head is precision-machined to create a clean, sculpted profile, then finished with intricate laser engraving. Every angle reveals the distinctive metallic character and refined finish of titanium.
